On this week’s episode the lawyers sample a vintage bottle of Barbancourt Special Reserve Rhum. It is aged 15 years and this particular bottle was brought out of Haiti in 1994 when Kurt’s father-in-law was doing some work for the U.S. Government on behalf of hurricane relief (or the CIA to restore the Aristide ragime, we’re not really sure). It is a complex drink, brought to us by a complex man, from a complex place in history and it should not be missed if you get a chance to sample it.
We chat about several great topics on this week’s episode, including:
- Asset Forfeiture: SCOTUS delivers a huge blow to the government trying to take your stuff.
- I can’t believe it’s not Baltimore: Fortnite used for money laundering?
- Utah wants to lower their DUI per se violation to .05, claiming that they don’t drink anyway so they don’t care. Will other states follow?
